The Mother Earth Gatherings

A division of Diverse Gatherings

Each year The Earth Gatherings continue to grow and enhance our relationship with Nature and our community.  Friendships develop and understanding is gained about how our differences can be view as strengths. Mother Nature teaches us that lesson as we observe the way all thing are interconnected. Just as the seasons change and renew the earth so the changes from year to year at The Earth Gathering events renew our strength and bond with each other.  As a community, we are growing stronger. Many of you have helped along the way and for that help we are all grateful!

This year we have several people who have stepped up to take major roles in directing the Gatherings and supporting the organization. Kevin Keene has been attending the Gatherings for a few years and has been nominated and elected President of The Earth Gatherings.  His efforts to involve the community-at-large has been a huge asset and lend hope to future efforts to obtain more involvement from an even broader community. His family has been very supportive and involved in making the Gatherings very special and fun!  (Thankyou Sharon, Emily and Charly!!!)  Christine Bosch has taken up the duties of Secretary and Treasurer and is helping negotiate the labrynth of federal and state regulations to help us obtain our Non-profit status. Many of you have offered to help and have volunteered on projects, potlucks, fund-raising, workshops, music, marketing, clean-up, etc., etc. One of our newest volunteers is working on a Newsletter-  Thankyou Joan!

Everyone's efforts are appreciated and if you haven't volunteered yet, but want to; you can sign up on his website and we will call you and put you to work.

We have many goals and there is a place for everyone to put their constructive energy to good use. We understand the many demands on our time and energy. What we can do as a community, we ought to do for the welfare of the community and for the generations that follow.  Teaching responsible stewardship of the earth requires that we learn how to be responsible stewards ourselves.... and that is  process.  Each of us are different and so our understandings, skills and talents are different.  Whether we accept help from each other or not, we are inter-connected and need each other. As the saying goes "We are all related."

In this great family of community may we all recognize our value and find the direction that can make us productive, responsible and Happy!
Peace,
